If the last reconciliation was several months ago, there may be missing, duplicate, or incorrectly dated transactions.<\/p>\n
A persistent difference may indicate unrecorded movements, duplicates, or incorrectly made adjustments.<\/p>\n
Transactions pending for months render reports useless and complicate the closing of the period.<\/p>\n
When a payment is not applied correctly, an invoice may continue to appear open even though the customer has already paid.<\/p>\n
Duplicates can distort the Profit & Loss and make the business appear to have earned or spent more than it actually has.<\/p>\n
Negative accounts, loans that don't change, or old balances can be signs of incomplete records or incorrect classifications.<\/p>\n
If only transactions have been added without reconciliation or report review, it's advisable to evaluate the file before continuing to accumulate months.<\/p>\n
