The QuickBooks balance does not match the bank statement.<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the balance recorded in QuickBooks differs from your bank statement, it's usually due to duplicate transactions, missing entries, incorrect dates, or incomplete reconciliations. Continuing to categorize without resolving the discrepancy can exacerbate the problem.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. There are many uncategorized transactions<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A large list of pending transactions negatively impacts the quality of reports. It can also cause business expenses to appear in incorrect categories or revenue to be recorded inconsistently.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. There are duplicate income or expenses<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This can happen when a bank integration or payment platform records a movement and then another transaction is manually created for the same payment.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. The old accounts were never reconciled<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An account that hasn't been reconciled for months can contain accumulated discrepancies.
